All-Suites Hotel Celebrates Grand Opening May 1 April 29, 2008
(AUGUSTA, GA) On Thursday, May 1, the Candlewood Suites/Augusta, GA., the area's
newest mid-priced extended-stay all-suites hotel, will celebrate its grand opening from 4:00 to
6:00 p.m. Greater Augusta Chamber of Commerce dignitaries will officiate at a ribbon-cutting
and guests will enjoy Indian cuisine and fare from Rhinehart's Oyster Bar. Hotel owner G.B.
Sharma; other members of Claussen Hospitality; and the hotel’s management team, The
Generation Companies, will welcome the guests.

Generation Acquires Staybridge Suites Extended-Stay Hotel in Austin, TX April 25, 2008
The Generation Companies LLC (Generation), a Research Triangle Park, North Carolina-based
real estate developer, asset manager, owner and operator of extended-stay hotels, recently
announced the acquisition of the Staybridge Suites hotel in Round Rock (north Austin), Texas.
The hotel will undergo a $1 million renovation of guest rooms and common areas, slated to start
soon. Generation tapped Steve Cotton, who boasts a long career in hospitality including
Residence Inn and Staybridge Suites, to join the organization as General Manager.

Generation Opens New Staybridge Suites Hotel in Jacksonville, FL March 19, 2008
(RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC) Recently, The Generation Companies LLC (Generation)
opened the Staybridge Suites-Jacksonville, Florida, a 120-suite upscale extended-stay hotel
hotel at 8511 Touchton Road. This hotel is the first Staybridge Suites in Jacksonville and is
part of the Deerwood Lake development. "We are pleased to introduce the greater Jacksonville
area to Staybridge Suites," said Generation President & CEO, H. Mark Daley, III.

Generation Opens New Candlewood Suites Hotel in Destin, Florida February 25, 2008
(RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC) On March 4, 2008, The Generation Companies LLC
(Generation) will open The Candlewood Suites-Miramar Beach/Destin, a 75-suite mid-price
extended-stay hotel at 11396 Highway 98 West. Generation is a Research Triangle Park, North
Carolina owner, developer, asset manager and operator of extended-stay hotels in Florida, North
Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The project, started in the fall of 2007, is opening on schedule
and in time for the busy spring break season.

Generation Breaks Ground On Candlewood In Florida October 5, 2007
The Generation Companies LLC recently broke ground here for a 75-room
Candlewood Suites located at 11396 US 98 West. The $8.2 million new-construction hotel is
scheduled to open in March.
