RTP-Based Generation Celebrates Grand Opening of DC Area Extended Stay Hotel Campus

The Generation Companies, a real estate developer, asset manager, and extended stay hotel operator based in Research Triangle Park announces the recent grand opening of the Sterling Hotel Campus, a 253-suite extended stay hotel park located in Sterling, Virginia near Washington DC. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, which celebrated the joint development of two hotels, Candlewood Suites/Sterling and Suburban Extended Stay Hotel of Sterling, on a single tree-dotted hotel campus, featured a number of speakers, including representatives from the Sterling area chambers of commerce, as well as H. Mark Daley III, President of The Generation Companies; and Chris Kornmeyer, Vice President of Marketing for Atlanta’s Suburban Franchise Systems.
The Suburban Extended Stay Hotel of Sterling is an economy-priced 132- room extended stay hotel offering rates ranging from $59 to $129 depending on the length of stay. Rooms are equipped with a complete kitchen, including microwave, refrigerator, stove-top, coffee-maker, cookware and utensils; telephone with voice-mail and data port; complimentary high speed internet (wireless/Ethernet); cable television; weekly housekeeping service; and on-site guest laundry and meeting room facility. The Candlewood Suites-Sterling features 121 suites and offers spacious accommodations that cater to the unique needs of long-term guests, including a complete kitchen with full-sized refrigerator and dishwasher, 27-inch TV, VHS/DVD player, large business desk, adjustable executive chair, two line speaker phone with data port and complimentary high-speed wireless and Ethernet internet access. A state of the art boardroom with 42” plasma and AV system is also available.
