Ronald S. Jacobsen, Vice President of Operations
Ronald S. Jacobsen joined Daley Corporation in 1995 as the Vice President of Operations. In 1996 he continued in this capacity with The Generation Companies and in 1998 joined Generation's Board of Advisors. Mr. Jacobsen leads the overall implementation of hotel strategy, property-level operations, recruitment and training. For the first eight years of his career, Mr. Jacobsen was involved in operations and consulting for the health care industry. He earned a B.S. in Business Management from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK.

Rick Stroud, Regional Operations Manager
Rick Stroud joined The Generation Companies in the summer of 1998. Mr. Stroud oversees the operations of the Suburban Lodges of Fayetteville, Greensboro and Louisville. His experience includes 6 years with Winston Hotels and a year as the Director of Operations with the Richmond Hill Inn. Mr. Stroud holds a degree in Hospitality Management from Appalachian State University.

 

Gary Hopkins, I.T. Coordinator
Gary Hopkins joined the Generation's staff in June, 2004 as the Suburban Brand\I.T. Coordinator. He join's our staff with over 15 years of Hospitality and I.T. experience, most recently working as Third Tier Support for the Hilton Hotels I.T. team and as a RBC Centura program analyst.
Gary graduated from the Salt Lake City Technical College in 1981 as a Master Electrician. He received his MCP certification from Microsoft in 2000.



Kevin Famiglietta, Brand Management and Training
Kevin Famiglietta joined the Generation Companies in May 2002 and works directly with the Executive and Operations Departments on Property Operations, Strategy, Risk Management, New Development and Training. Prior to joining The Generation Companies his experience includes 8 years of Multi Unit management and Training with Holiday Inn and Applebee’s. Kevin holds a B.S. with a concentration in Business Administration.



Michael Fortner, Regional Sales Manager
Michael Fortner joined the Generation team in the summer of 2004 as Regional Sales Manager. Michael oversees the sales efforts at eleven of the Suburban Extended Stay hotels that the Generation companies manage. Prior to joining the Generation companies he worked as a sales manager with Marriott International. Michael earned both a B.A. and M.B.A. from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina.


James Bowman , Suburban Brand Coordinator
James Bowman joined the Generation Companies in December 2006 as the Suburban Brand Coordinator.  James began his career in hospitality as a manager of a fine dining restaurant, and joined Generation Companies in 2004 as the Assistant General Manager of the Candlewood Suites in Herndon, VA.  A 2004 graduate of Virginia Tech James holds a B.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a minor in Business.

Teressa Holman, HR & Process Improvement Coordinator
Teressa joined The Generation Companies in October 2005 as the HR & Process Improvement Coordinator. Teressa handles much of the daily operation undertakings and keeps the staff knowledgeable of upcoming events and changes as well as field HR questions. Teressa holds a B.S. in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College. Teressa is also currently preparing to work on her thesis that will complete her course work toward receiving her MBA with a concentration in Human Resources from Strayer University.
